I'm caring for my father, who's 79. After worsening Parkinson's disease Raúl can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Raúl desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Raúl worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,050 goes: • Part-time carer (three months): $590 • Medication and prescriptions: $240 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $60 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $160 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
