Raúl's early-stage lung cancer treatment fund
Supporting Raúl through early-stage lung cancer: medication, transport to the Medellín Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇨🇴 Colombia931 views
Raúl was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at the Medellín Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Raúl is 45, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Medellín Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,700
• Scans and lab work: $330
• Transport to the Medellín Oncology Institute: $250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100
• Household costs while unable to work: $620
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
