Portia wants to stay at home - help fund three months of care
Portia, 77, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $900 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 77. After worsening Parkinson's disease Portia can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Portia desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Portia worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $900 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $710
• Medication and prescriptions: $80
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $60
I hope life is good to you.

Rooting for you. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Latina.
