Niels is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Haarlem University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,800. The registrar has said Niels can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Niels has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Niels would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Niels isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Haarlem University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
