One semester away: help Mauricio graduate from the Fort Worth Institute of Technology
Mauricio has worked and saved for four years to study a pharmacy diploma; a $2,150 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a pharmacy diploma at the Fort Worth Institute of Technology, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $2,150.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $280
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,650
• Textbooks and materials: $220
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Mauricio
1% there. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Thank you. - Mauricio
Quick update: $29 raised so far (1%). I met with the university and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($25 in total) the plan for textbooks and materials is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Johannesburg.
Sending love. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Soweto.
Take care, Mauricio. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did
