I'm caring for me, who's 79. After a diagnosis of dementia Mazen can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mazen desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Mazen worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Small update. $146 so far, the first invoice got paid this week.
Wanted to say thank you properly. 16% funded and I met with the care agency and confirmed the amounts.
