Maya wants to stay at home - help fund three months of care
Maya, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,650 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After worsening Parkinson's disease Maya can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Maya desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Maya worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $190
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,950
• Medication and prescriptions: $510
Every share and every dollar helps.

Wishing you peace, Marcus. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
