Mackenzie, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,750 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After a stroke last May Mackenzie can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mackenzie desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Mackenzie worked all of her life as a farmer, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,750 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $3,250
• Medication and prescriptions: $500
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $320
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $680
Thank you so much.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Corpus Christi
Sending good thoughts, Stephanie. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Los Angeles donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Corpus Christi.
You're not alone, Stephanie. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Take care. Looking forward to the next update. I hope September is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Sending love, Stephanie. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
