Liberty Park needs a playground - Fernando's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $700. It will serve about 376 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $700 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $90 • Materials: $550 • Permits and inspections: $60 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
