We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $3,950 for materials.

Calgary

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,950. It will serve about 176 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,950 goes: • Materials: $3,150 • Permits and inspections: $120 • Safety equipment and signage: $200 • Tools hire and delivery: $480 Every share and every dollar helps.
