Lahiru's final semester of an accounting degree in Colombo
A first-generation student, Lahiru needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.

Lahiru is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Colombo State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750.
The registrar has said Lahiru can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lahiru has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lahiru would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Lahiru isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $500
• Final term tuition: $160
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Textbooks and materials: $65
