I'm caring for me, who's 87. After the death of his spouse Kwesi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Kwesi desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Kwesi worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $600 goes: • Part-time carer (four months): $380 • Medication and prescriptions: $85 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $40 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $95 With deep gratitude, Kwesi

  • Thinking of you, Kwesi. Hope the doctors have good news. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it

    • Praying for you, Kwesi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Johannesburg.

      • Thanks for sharing this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Kyiv.

Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Siliguri

          • Hope things get better soon. Wishing Kwesi a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 25 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
