Keep the water on at Shirley's home in Wellington
Shirley is behind on water bills after March's medical emergency and needs $600 to avoid a shut-off.

The water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless I pay $600. I have never been late before March's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $105 first, which I don't have.
I live with a newborn, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Down payment on a payment plan: $135

Small update. $60 so far, I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.
