Joshua's final semester of a computer science degree in Quezon City
A first-generation student, Joshua needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a computer science degree.
🇵🇭 Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines501 views
Joshua is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Quezon City State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has said Joshua can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Joshua has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Joshua would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Joshua isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Quezon City State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $175
• Final term tuition: $430
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Textbooks and materials: $70
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
