Jesse wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Jesse, 92, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $5,500 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 92. After worsening Parkinson's disease Jesse can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jesse desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Jesse worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $5,500 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $4,350
• Medication and prescriptions: $370
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $240
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $540
