Home care fund for Shrijana in Kathmandu
Shrijana can't afford the care She needs after a heart attack; we're asking for $100.
🇳🇵 Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal254 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 76. After a heart attack Shrijana can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Shrijana desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Shrijana worked all of her life as a bus driver, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $100 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $60
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $15

wishing you peace, Sita. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
So sorry you're going through this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
