Home care fund for Savannah in Los Angeles
Savannah, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,350 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 79. After a diagnosis of dementia Savannah can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Savannah desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Savannah worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $730
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $320
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $300
