Home care fund for Rasha in San Jose
Rasha, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $6,000 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 79. After a stroke last January Rasha can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rasha desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Rasha worked all of her life as a nurse, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $6,000 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $530
• Part-time carer (six months): $4,700
• Medication and prescriptions: $770
