Yoav is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at the Jerusalem Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,350.
The registrar has said Yoav can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Yoav has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Yoav would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Yoav isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
