Serena was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June. The oncology team at Rome Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Serena is 55, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rome Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
