Ruth was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March. The oncology team at Houston Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Ruth is 41, worked as a bank teller until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Houston Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $5,200 goes: • Transport to Houston Cancer Centre: $820 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $830 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,350 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
