Help Myra through 6 rounds of treatment for stage 2 breast cancer
6 rounds of treatment are planned at the Pune Oncology Institute; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India673 views
Myra was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at the Pune Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Myra is 33, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Pune Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250
• Household costs while unable to work: $145
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong, Usha. Get well soon. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
take care, Usha. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Thessaloniki donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Pune.
Hope things get better soon, Usha. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Greetings from Dhaka.
