Help me pay for emergency hernia repair at Rotterdam General Hospital
After a herniated spinal disc, Annelies was cleared for emergency hernia repair, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In March I was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. My surgeon at Rotterdam General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for June. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $11,000, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $5,550 short.
Doctors at Rotterdam General Hospital told me a herniated spinal disc will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a security guard, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $11,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a security guard have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $5,550 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,850
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $1,350
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $410
• Post-operative medication: $250
• Physiotherapy sessions: $330
• Travel and lodging for the family: $360
Every share and every dollar helps.

Good luck. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Charlotte.
Hope things get better soon, Annelies. Shared this with my family. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best
