Josiane was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in September. The oncology team at the Santos Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Josiane is 39, worked as a tailor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Santos Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
