Flood in Jaipur: help the families of Riverside Lane rebuild
Neighbors in the families of Riverside Lane are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the families of Riverside Lane on 18 May. My home was one of 85 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $850 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $110
• Tools and labor for repairs: $300
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $140
• Roofing sheets and timber: $300
Thank you so much.

sending good thoughts. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double!
