Feed 73 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Rockford
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Rockford is running low just as demand rises; $3,400 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 73 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rockford market and keep every receipt.
Each $50 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,900
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,200
• Baby formula and diapers: $200
• Refrigeration and electricity: $100
Thank you so much.

sending strength, Soledad. More neighborhoods should do this. We're a small family in Seattle but we're thinking of you. All the best.
