Feed 292 families each week at Community Pantry in Jakarta Selatan
Vino runs a volunteer pantry feeding 292 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Saturday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 292 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Selatan market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
• Baby formula and diapers: $80
With deep gratitude,
Vino

So sorry you're going through this. Great idea, hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
