Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Mumbai.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Monday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 279 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $250 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $95
• Refrigeration and electricity: $60
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $95
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thank you all. We're at 16% now ($40). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward refrigeration and electricity.

Sending strength, Kamrul. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 34 people at work. Love from Galle
Keep going. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Mumbai.
