Feed 261 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Juiz de Fora

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 261 each week. Donations have dropped by about 52% this summer, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Juiz de Fora market and keep every receipt. Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $800 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $250 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $270 • Baby formula and diapers: $170 • Refrigeration and electricity: $110 Every share and every dollar helps.
