Feed 255 families each week at Community Pantry in Port Harcourt
The Community Pantry pantry in Port Harcourt is running low just as demand rises; $500 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Thursday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 255 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Port Harcourt market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $250
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $160
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
