Feed 203 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Mar del Plata
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Mar del Plata is running low just as demand rises; $600 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Saturday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 203 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 57% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mar del Plata market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $220
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
• Baby formula and diapers: $135
• Refrigeration and electricity: $105
