The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Hồ Chí Minh City is running low just as demand rises; $550 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Thursday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 159 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Hồ Chí Minh City market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $550 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $165
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $340
