Yến, my grandmother, passed away on 19 July after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 30 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Yến to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $500 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $260 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $110 • Transport of the deceased: $70 • Memorial gathering for the family: $60 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
