Aaliyah, my mother, passed away on 17 September after a stroke. She was 87 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Aaliyah to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $2,800 goes: • Transport of the deceased: $640 • Memorial gathering for the family: $175 • Funeral home services and casket: $1,985 Thanks for reading all this.
