Alcalá de Henares

Fadi is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Alcalá de Henares University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,900. The registrar has said Fadi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Fadi has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Fadi would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Fadi isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,900 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $160 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,650 • Textbooks and materials: $90 Thanks for being kind about this. - Saeed

Updates from Saeed

Good news. Because of your gifts ($521 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Thank you all. We're at 14% now ($257). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward exam and lab fees.
