Ewa is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Warsaw State College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,300. The registrar has said Ewa can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ewa has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ewa would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ewa isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $1,300 goes: • Final term tuition: $810 • Outstanding tuition balance: $450 • Textbooks and materials: $40 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Jakub

Stay strong, Jakub. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.

Sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Varanasi but we're thinking of you

Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Wish I lived closer to Birmingham so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Warsaw.
