Emergency vet bill for Oscar in Gatineau
A rescue greyhound named Oscar needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $1,500 bill the family can't cover.

Oscar is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 29 April we rushed to Gatineau Animal Hospital with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,500.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond July.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $210 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Gatineau Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Oscar's recovery.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $540
• Emergency surgery: $660
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $300
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
