Emergency vet bill for Oscar in Coyoacán
A rescue greyhound named Oscar needs emergency surgery - a $550 bill the family can't cover.

Oscar is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 21 February we rushed to Coyoacán Veterinary Centre with pyometra. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $550.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar got me through my hardest year. I have already put $115 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Coyoacán Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Oscar's recovery.
Where the $550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $280
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $150
• Medication and follow-up visits: $65
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $55
I hope life is good to you.
- Álvaro

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Álvaro
Emergency surgery is $280 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
Thinking of you and your family, Álvaro. Hope the recovery goes smoothly. Don't give up
keep going, Álvaro. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Coyoacán
Best of luck. Hope you get there. Love from Santa Fe
