Eduardo was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in March. The oncology team at Caxias do Sul University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Eduardo is 42, worked as a hairdresser until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Caxias do Sul University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $270
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250
• Transport to Caxias do Sul University Hospital: $250
• Household costs while unable to work: $680
