Don't let Marlene's family go through the rainy season without electricity
Marlene is behind on electricity bills after January's medical emergency and needs $250 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $250. I have never been late before January's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Marlene's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

• Down payment on a payment plan: $55
