Cristian wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Cristian, 81, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $4,000 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 81. After a diagnosis of dementia Cristian can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Cristian desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Cristian worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $3,250
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $340
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $410
