Care for Yi, 84: help cover a carer and medication in Sydney
Yi, 84, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $3,150 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 84. After the death of her spouse Yi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Yi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Yi worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $1,900
• Medication and prescriptions: $510
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $240
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $500
