Care for Valentina, 84: help cover a carer and medication in San Diego

I'm caring for my mother, who's 84. After a stroke last July Valentina can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Valentina desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Valentina worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $4,300 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $300
• Part-time carer (eight months): $3,400
• Medication and prescriptions: $600
