I'm caring for my mother, who's 82. After the death of her spouse Soo-jin can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Soo-jin desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Soo-jin worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Soo-jin.
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. part-time carer (eight months) is the biggest at $1,300. I'll keep the page updated.
