I'm caring for my father, who's 77. After a diagnosis of dementia Rubén can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rubén desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Rubén worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $700 goes: • Part-time carer (six months): $420 • Medication and prescriptions: $70 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $75 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $135 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Yolanda
