I'm caring for my father, who's 81. After worsening Parkinson's disease Robert can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Robert desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Robert worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.

• Medication and prescriptions: $630
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $280
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $440

What exactly is the $4,250 for?
It's all in the list in the story. part-time carer (four months) is the big one at $2,900, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.
