Care for Obiageli, 79: help cover a carer and medication in Lagos
Obiageli, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $500 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 79. After a diagnosis of dementia Obiageli can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Obiageli desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Obiageli worked all of her life as a farmer, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $500 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $65
• Part-time carer (eight months): $390
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $45
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thinking of you. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
take care. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Nairobi but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Nairobi.
So sorry you're going through this, Abubakar. Wishing Obiageli a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 23 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
