I'm caring for my father, who's 75. After a fall and hip fracture Mohan can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mohan desperately wants to stay at home. I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Mohan worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $600 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $65 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $70 • Part-time carer (six months): $465 I hope life is good to you. - Lakshmi

          • Thinking of you, Lakshmi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Kolkata.
