Care for Mason, 74: help cover a carer and medication in San Diego

I'm caring for my father, who's 74. After the death of his spouse Mason can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mason desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Mason worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $5,300 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $310
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $250
• Part-time carer (four months): $4,740
