Care for Luca, 78: help cover a carer and medication in Edinburgh
Luca, 78, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,700 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 78. After a fall and hip fracture Luca can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Luca desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Luca worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,950
• Medication and prescriptions: $240
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $145
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $365
